Is The YouTube Light Theme Or Dark Theme Better?

It really comes down to user preference on whether YouTube's light theme is better than the dark theme. Those who prefer dark mode claim that it increases the contrast between the text and the background, making it easier to read the text on your device.

According to one study, dark mode graphics have "significant benefits for visual acuity, fatigue, and usability"  with Head Mounted Displays. But whether that applies to traditional monitor screens remains to be seen.

According to the American Academy of Ophthalmology, how we use our devices impacts eye-strain more than whether we use a light theme or a dark theme.
